Who benefits from the Make Parenting A Pleasure program?
Parent educators who lead groups of parents of children birth to 8 years old who are experiencing stress in their lives. All or part of this curriculum can also be used in home visiting settings. Programs, practitioners and parent educators who work with families who are dealing with high levels of stress in their lives. The curriculum is designed for parent educators to facilitate parenting groups for families of children 0 - 8. It's also easily adaptable for home visiting.

Who benefits from the Parenting: The First Three Years program?

Parent educators who lead groups of parents of children birth to three years old. This is sold as a three-part suite or individually as incredible INFANTs, Wonderful ONEs, and Terrific TWOs.

Who benefits from the Parenting Now! Curriculum program?

Parent educators as well as community volunteers who lead parents of children from birth to eight years old. All or part of this curriculum can be used in home visiting settings.

How many hours is the training?
Training is typically two eight-hour days. Longer trainings can be arranged.

What is the cost of training?
Currently a two-day training in Eugene, Oregon costs $325 per participant. Each training can accommodate up to 18 participants. We can also come to your site. Please call Connie at 866-310-4601 for more information.

What do participants gain from the training?
Knowledge of the curriculum, including organization, content and usability, as well as evaluation information
Structuring size and composition of successful parenting groups
Developing group agreements
Elements of a group
Dealing with intense issues
Dealing with challenging people
Trainers model approaches and techniques that participants will use in their own parenting groups and programs
Trainers demonstrate a sample lesson
Participants practice and present lessons (in a fun and non-threatening way) for experience and feedback
Trainers share favorite group exercises and lessons learned
Trainers focus on how to successfully use this curriculum in participants’ home communities
